First, here’s some vocabulary:
•cash register – la caja / el registro
•cash – el efectivo
•credit card – la tarjeta de crédito
•cuánto – how much
•listo – ready
Phrases for checking out at the register:
•¿Cuánto cuesta_____? – How much does_____ cost?
•¿Puedo pagar con tarjeta? – Can I pay with a card?
•¡Muchas gracias! – Thanks so much!
Questions the cashier might ask:
•¿Paga con tarjeta o cash (efectivo)? – Are you paying with a card or cash?
•¿Desea/quiere su recibo? – Do you desire/want your receipt?
